Preparation of Manuscript
When preparing your manuscript for submission to Our Nursing Journal, it is essential to follow the guidelines to ensure consistency and ease in the review process. Begin with a title page that includes the manuscript title, author names with their affiliations, and contact information for the corresponding author. A short running title of no more than 50 characters should also be included.
The manuscript should start with a structured abstract of up to 250 words, summarizing the objectives, methods, results, and conclusions without using references or abbreviations. Following the abstract, include 4-6 keywords that accurately reflect the content of your manuscript.
The main text of the manuscript should be organized into sections: Introduction, Methods, Results, Discussion, and Conclusion. The Introduction should provide background information and state the research question. The Methods section should describe the study design, participants, procedures, and analytical methods in detail, ensuring that the study can be replicated. The Results should present the findings clearly, using tables and figures as needed, without repeating data in the text. The Discussion should interpret the findings, compare them with existing literature, and acknowledge any limitations. Finally, the Conclusion should succinctly summarize the study’s findings and their significance.
References should be formatted consistently according to the journal’s guidelines, ensuring that all cited works are listed in the reference section. Text should be formatted with a standard font like Times New Roman, size 12, double-spaced, and with 1-inch margins on all sides. Tables should be placed on separate pages at the end of the manuscript, each with a descriptive title, while figures should be submitted as high-resolution files with clear legends.
Supplementary materials, such as datasets or additional figures, can be included as additional files and should be clearly labeled and referenced in the text. Acknowledgments should mention any contributors who do not meet the criteria for authorship, as well as any funding sources and potential conflicts of interest.
Ensure that your study complies with ethical standards by including statements confirming ethical approval and informed consent where applicable. Before submission, thoroughly proofread your manuscript for errors and ensure that all references are accurate. Manuscripts should be submitted as Word documents, with figures in JPEG, PNG, or TIFF format.
Finally, submit your manuscript through the journal’s online submission system, accompanied by a cover letter that highlights the importance of your work and its relevance to Our Nursing Journal. By following these guidelines, your manuscript will be well-prepared for the peer-review process.
